A contemporary art documentary
Directed and produced by Yeny Casanueva and Alejandro González. 2016
With a duration of 1:30 minutes, Into de Brillo Box is a documentary (produced and directed by Yeny Casanueva and Alejandro González), which aims to highlight the structural transformations of the art field by interacting with mechanisms and practices of global participation generally alien to the dynamics and logic, more or less stable, of this field. These interactions suggest other ways of thinking about the aesthetic process, because by changing the relationships between the elements that constitute it, on the basis of the social, the structure of the same changes. The documentary presents works by recognized artists and others, who by the nature of their proposals, work outside of institutional policies, proposing, based on new mediating elements, other forms of production, circulation and reception of their works. This material is also supported by interviews with gallery owners, collectors, curators, critics and various actors who manage the development and practices in various circuits of contemporary art.
It was made in Madrid, 2016, with the collaboration of important artists and personalities from the world of culture.
